• Shirley Valentine (17th & 23rd October): The heroine in this actor's tour-de-force is an ordinary middle class English housewife. As she prepares chips and egg for dinner, she ruminates on her life and tells the wall about her husband, her children, her past, and an invitation from a girlfriend to join her on holiday in Greece to search for romance and adventure. Thom Pain (based on nothing) (18th & 24th October): He’s just like you, except worse. He is trying to save his life and to save your life – in that order. In his quest for salvation, he’ll stop at nothing, be distracted by nothing, except maybe a piece of lint, or the woman in the second row. Goddesses Unleashed (10th & 11th October): Ancient by origin, the greek myths still have a lot to say about the modern female experience. Through a contemporary lens, these stories weave together to shed light on the often-unconsidered intimate inner workings of the deity’s mind. Witty and winsome, these goddesses are primed to reveal their humanity and tell it how it really was.
