Synopsis

Odysseus sails purposefully towards the Trojan War, leaving loyal wife Penelope behind to fend for herself. The decades mount as she awaits his return, her dutiful handmaidens her only salvation. An intriguing re-telling of literary classic The Illiad, this is one of Margaret Atwood's writing triumphs.
